Description:
Installed in full relationship with the nature environment of a private garden, this modular unit was designed to support the recurrent sporting activity of its inhabitants and built in a warehouse, having been totally prefabricated using light steel frame (LSF) structure over a hard steel structure that serves as a base.
The space is neutral and allows the coexistence of a wooden sauna and a Turkish bath, leaving the rest of it prepared for future installation of equipment.
The finishing communicates with the surroundings through the slatted thermo-modified pine wood, treated free of any chemical harmful to the environment.
The integration of the unit in the garden is seamless, as part of the whole and functioning as a discovery point within the natural environment of the garden flora.

Description:
Inserted in the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, more specifically in the east slope, a few meters from the Castelo dos Mouros, the house was built in the middle of the 20th century and has undergone several changes over the last decades.
Characterized by a more social ground floor and a more intimate first floor, the whole already communicated directly with the garden, although in a more contemplative way. The creation of a winter garden occupying part of that garden was an attitude of sharing light and environment with the natural space.
The intervention aimed to create a spatial neutrality necessary for the use of spaces as a scenery for photography shoots for international publications. A space of communion between photography and other arts, from all over the world. In this sense, white and burnt cement adopt a more contemporary posture, maintaining the recovery of the brickwork, carpentry, hardware and fireplace as elements of nostalgia.

Description:
The intervention initially proposed the reconstruction of a pre-existing annex and support for the main housing, comprising a set of undefined spaces. From this prologue, the program evolved and ended up constituting the spatial redefinition of the entire unit and its adaptation to the necessary functional reality with regard to the communication between spaces and between them and the external natural environment.
Located in the highest area of a garden where the expressive presence of a group of large pine trees already imposed a permanent verticality, it was the intention from the beginning to accentuate the horizontality of the volume that is externally regulated by the neutrality of white and the linearity of the wooden finishing.

Description:
The scope of the work was the construction of a house in an urban plot, under a general construction contract, also comprising its management and planning, responding to several challenges, namely the installation of a full home automation system.
In close collaboration with the project owners and all teams of designers and specialized engineers, the execution comprised a basement construction, a ground floor structured in light steel frame (LSF), a swimming pool divided into two leisure areas and a set of exterior arrangements that harmonize all paths between the various outside spaces.
Scrupulously accomplished within 10 months, the planning and management included the solving of several conflicts between all the engineering and equipment.

Description:
Resulting from an invitation to participate in the LX Design Exhibition in Lisbon, the unit was conceived as a demonstration of the capacity of the structures in light steel frame (LSF) and the use of black agglomerated cork as an external and outside thermal insulation.
In a dynamic ruled by the volume of the 1m3 cube itself, in which cork exits industrial unit, the finishing was divided into 50x50cm with different thickness elements, creating a texture of shadows and relief. The timeless character it acquires ends up bringing the unit closer to an object of design that can be industrialized and inhabited as well.

Description:
The intervention started from the need to convert an office floor into two apartments with the original functional type, left-right apartments. A special attention was given to the infrastructural project, specifically because the project program proposed the kitchen relocation from the preexisting area in the original building project to the opposite side of the apartments, creating an open space between for the cooking, meal and living area facing the north elevation of the building.
In the center we have a circulation area that contains a storage and laundry space and the south facade communicates contains the three rooms windows.
The space was designed with a logic of intimacy protection with the creation of two halls connected by the circulation corridor, with white and wood being the dominant textures. The area on the south of these circulation is more intimate and the area at north is social.
